Job Overview
The University of Denver is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Club Women’s Hockey Coach to lead our Club Women’s Hockey team for the 2025-2026 season. This position requires an experienced coach with a strong background in hockey and experience coaching at a high level (AA-AAA, juniors). The ideal candidate will foster a supportive, disciplined, and motivating environment to help student-athletes reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to away games, two weekly evening practices and weekends for games.
  • Ability to coach from mid-August to end of March (no coaching during summer or winter break)
  • Plan and execute effective and productive practices and game plans.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive training environment for all athletes, ensuring adherence to team and university standards.
  • Develop seasonal training plans, prepare athletes for competition, and provide strategic coaching to help the club achieve their goals
  • Promote a positive team culture and encourage sportsmanship, discipline, and accountability among club members.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Club Sports Manager and other relevant university staff.
  • Abide by the University of Denver club coaching policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
  • CDC Heads Up Concussion Training Certification.
  • USA Hockey Level 4 or 5 Coaching Certification.
