Job Overview

In correlation with the Head Coach, the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach performs duties relative to the daily functions of the Basketball Program, and works independently with minimal supervision from the head coach to instruct student athletes in various aspects of the athletic discipline and sports performance. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently provides on-the-field instruction in team concepts, safety and athletic performance.
• Independently develops and instructs the off-season and in-season strength and conditioning programs for student athletes.
• Instructs skill development opportunities for individual players and positions.
• Instruct student athletes to maintain equipment and playing fields of the facility.
• Develops and instructs athletes on independently made training practice plans.
• Assists the other basketball coaches with recruiting.
• Assists the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.
• Assists the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Advanced knowledge of the game of basketball.
• Ability to use common office productivity software.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
