Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Athletics and fellow Athletic Directors on the strategic vision and daily operations of the athletic department.
- Provide direct oversight and support for assigned sports programs, including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, facility coordination, and communication.
- Supervise and evaluate coaches, fostering their professional growth and ensuring adherence to school policies and ethical standards.
- Ensure compliance with all league, section, and state regulations (e.g., CIF).
- Manage game-day operations and logistics to ensure smooth and safe events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, coaches, faculty, and the broader school community.
- Address and resolve issues and concerns related to athletes, parents, and coaches in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute creatively to the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs that enhance the athlete experience.
- Extensive experience in athletic administration at the high school or college level is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and mentor coaches and athletes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to think creatively and problem-solve effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of ethical conduct and sportsmanship.
- Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications.
