Job Overview
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carries out some aspects of the program necessary to accomplish the objectives of the Men's Volleyball program within the university, the athletic department, WHAC and NAIA contexts.
  • In collaboration with the head coach, the assistant coach prepares and conducts practices focused on skill building and knowledge of the sport at the collegiate level.
  • Provides special training for individual team members as required.
  • Orients and enforces student-athletes’ adherence to the policies and regulations of the university and athletic department.
  • Assists with coordination of all travel arrangements.
  • Helps to administer the off-season training program.
  • Assists with the recruitment and retention of highly skilled student-athletes.
  • All Cornerstone University employees will regularly interact with students in a variety of projects, activities, and settings. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred with successful experience in Men’s Volleyball as a coach and/or player.
  • Good organizational, communication and coordination skill essential.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to recruit student-athletes with potential for academic and athletic success.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to navigate our physical campus, use computers, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
