Job Overview
Responsibilities:
  • Train and coach the women’s golf team and recruit appropriately qualified student-athletes.
  • Monitor the budget of the program, order and maintain athletic equipment, monitor expenditures to maintain a balanced budget. Provide reports to the Director of Athletics as requested.
  • Monitor the athletic scholarship budget of the program, complete procedures to award athletic scholarships, and maintain a balanced budget in scholarships.
  • Develop an appropriate schedule for competition and make all necessary arrangements (i.e. transportation, meals, lodging, etc.)
  • Work cooperatively with athletic personnel, meet w/athletic administration 1/month.
  • Meet with potential students as designated by the Office of Admissions when recruiting.
  • Work with Director of Athletic Communication to update rosters, report results of competition, and promote the sport through different avenues including nominating athletes for post season awards through sport affiliation.
  • Recruit student-athletes and monitor roster and athletic enrollment goals established by the university and athletic department.
  • Work with the Associate Athletic Director (Compliance) on a list of all potential student-athletes during recruiting to determine eligibility.
Qualifications:
  • Required to travel including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, students, faculty, administration, alumni, and community.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2 or more years coaching golf.
  • Valid driver’s license.
