Job Overview

  • Teach wrestling techniques, strategies, and rules. 
  • Develop and implement effective training programs, including conditioning and strength training. 
  • Analyze athlete performance and provide constructive feedback. 
  • Prepare athletes for competitions, including scouting opponents and developing game plans. 
  • Organize and supervise practice sessions, ensuring safety and proper instruction. 
  • Maintain equipment and wrestling facilities. 
  • Recruit and train assistant coaches, if applicable. 
  • Promote sportsmanship, positive team dynamics, and a respectful environment. 
Other Duties:
  • Scout and recruit new talent. 
  • Maintain accurate records of athlete performance and team records. 
  • Represent the team at competitions and other events. 
  • Manage the team budget, if applicable.
