MVRCS seeks a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher & Head Track & Field Coach to inspire and develop students both in the classroom and on the field. This dual role offers a unique opportunity to shape students’ physical well-being while instilling discipline, teamwork, and perseverance through athletics. Key Responsibilities:

• Implement designated curricula (DI, CK) with fidelity.
• Monitor and document student progress regularly.
• Participate in all professional development training sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level meetings and staff meetings.
• Engage in peer practice sessions (if designated) for 30 minutes weekly.
• Address curriculum and special education concerns with the Lead Teacher.
• Prepare and distribute quarterly progress reports and report cards.
• Assist with assigned morning, lunch/recess, and afternoon duties.

Requirements:

• Experience in physical education, coaching, or youth athletic programs.
• Coaching experience with middle and/or high school Track & Field teams.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students both academically and athletically.
• Must pass the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) within one year of hire.
