Charlottesville High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced coach to lead and inspire our student-athletes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a competitive and well-rounded program, fostering skill development, promoting teamwork, and instilling a strong work ethic in our student-athletes. The coach will also play a crucial role in promoting sportsmanship, character development, and academic success among team members.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and progressive program for the team.
- Provide skill development, strategic coaching, and position-specific training to enhance players' abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Monitor and assess individual player performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback to players and work closely with them to enhance their skills both on and off the court/field/track.
- Implement strength and conditioning programs to ensure the team's physical preparedness.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) in a related field.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading competitive programs for the listed sport/activity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the listed sport/activity.
- Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes both academically and athletically.
