The Assistant Track Coach-Seasonal is a temporary (seasonal) position and is responsible for assisting the Head Track Coach in the planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising track & field instruction and training at local track & field meets and athlete registration. Assists Head Coach to plan and supervise participation and travel to advance competitions for athletes that qualify. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• React quickly and calmly in emergencies.
• Administer first aid and CPR.
• Experience in track and field instruction and practice plan.
• Communicate orally in the English and Spanish language.
• Observes safety regulations and communicates potential safety hazards.
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of TAAF rules regarding meets, practice times and particular restrictions.
• Knowledge of teaching methods associated with training of athletes for track and field competition.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
