- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners, student management.
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Analyzes, demonstrates, and explains basic skills, knowledge and strategies of physical education activities, as well as instructs pupils in the alcohol and drug awareness program.
- Works cooperatively with other physical education teachers in planning for conduct, discipline, and grading.
- Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil; teaches physical education classes for handicapped pupils as necessary.
- Provides appropriate safety instruction and safety checks on equipment and fields to ensure student safety.
- Manages the issue, use and storage of all school owned instructional texts, supplies, and equipment.
