Job Overview
Battle Ground Academy, a college preparatory school for students in grades PreK-12, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Volleyball Program Director and Varsity Head Volleyball Coach to lead our high-performing volleyball program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court, with a proven track record of coaching success at the high school, club, or collegiate level. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Volleyball program, including coaching (Upper School), training, and mentorship
  • Develop and implement game strategies, practice plans, and conditioning programs that align with the school’s values and athletic goals.
  • Foster a positive, competitive, and supportive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success.
  • Collaborate with assistant coaches, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning staff, and other staff to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded program.
  • Manage team logistics, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and communication with parents and administration.
  • Attract, retain, and develop student-athletes for long-term success in volleyball and life.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience coaching volleyball at the high school, club, or collegiate level (head coaching experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and conditioning methods.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes to achieve their best on the court and in the classroom.
  • Dedication to fostering a relational culture of respect, accountability, and hard work.
