Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement P.E. lessons for grades TK–8, focusing on movement, sports-related skills, fitness activities, and games.
- Supervise students during recess and lunch.
- Promote and model good sportsmanship, conflict resolution skills, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Evaluate student outcomes and maintain accurate student records.
- Recruiting coaches who meet CYO certification requirements and submitting names for principal’s consideration.
- Coordinating practices and games, including occasional weekend events.
- Communicating regularly with parents about schedules and expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field (or currently in progress).
- California Single Subject Credential in Physical Education (preferred or in progress).
- Coaching experience required.
- Organizational management experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church’s moral teaching.
- Actively participate in the faith and life of the school community.
- Open to professional growth opportunities and committed to innovation in student learning
- Virtus Certification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Fingerprinting through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (ADLA).
- Recent TB Test.
