Job Overview
Qualifications:
- CT Coaching Certification required.
- Knowledge/Experience in related sport is preferred.
- Coaching experience preferred.
- Supports the head coach in developing individual and team skills through practice sessions and exercises appropriate for middle school athletes.
- Assists with organizing and supervising practices, meets, and team-related activities in collaboration with the head coach.
- Helps with equipment setup, distribution, and collection; reports equipment needs or issues to the head coach or Athletic Facilitator (AF).
- Monitors student athlete attendance, behavior, and safety during all team activities, and promptly communicates concerns to the head coach or AF.
- Follows all district and school policies, including the Norwich Public Schools Athletics Handbook and CIAC guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
