Job Overview
This position will assist the head coach in all facets of program, which includes planning, coaching, recruiting, administering, and promoting the women's basketball team within NCAA and institutional standards. The assistant coach is expected to support the holistic development of student athletes and help to build and maintain a positive championship culture.
Responsibilities:
- Be an advocate for student-athletes greater good and success - be uplifting and encouraging.
- Provide skill development instruction with an emphasis on point guards.
- Teach out-of-season, individual skill instruction, staying within the NCAA regulations for individual player workouts.
- Evaluate and analyze game-by-game offense, defense, and individual performance and effectiveness.
- Utilize video and analytics to provide instruction and feedback.
- Assist the head coach in offensive game planning, and assist with game calling.
- Prepare scouting reports for assigned opponents and present reports to the coaching staff and team as requested.
- Evaluate video of opponents requested by the head coach, and provide detailed, written reports, and include information on defensive and individual tendencies.
- Develop and maintain shooting breakdowns.
- A bachelor’s degree and four years of intercollegiate coaching and recruiting experience coaching/or playing at the collegiate level, preferably at NCAA Division I or II or professional basketball, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

- Required to complete Coaches Recruiting Certification, annually. Additionally, adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required and must be maintained for the entire duration of employment.
