Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Athletics will provide administrative support for the Director of Athletics and Associate Director of Athletics. The Assistant Director third in charge of athletics and reports to the Director of Athletics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will assist Athletic Director in afternoon coverage of athletic events, programs, and transportation.
- Responsible for responding to general email correspondence.
- Lead special projects designated by AD.
- Assist in attending and supervising athletic contests and practices.
- Create, maintain and update coaches information, parent, and student, and captains manuals and handbooks.
- Attend weekly athletics and PE meetings.
- Assist in athletic communication and updates via a monthly newsletter, social media, and news items. Update website assists in roster management.
- Implement and manage service learning opportunities for sports teams' participation (design lead and implement community service program).
- Act as liaison with the Brearley Athletic Spirit Committee to foster school spirit at events.
- Member of the athletic administrative team (includes Assoc. AD, ATC, and AD).
- BA/BS required.
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Required.
- 1 to 2 years of Athletic Administration experience.
- 1 to 2 Head Coaching experience.
