The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing staff of the men’s and women’s track and field and cross country programs which includes coaches, support staff, and student-athletes; head coach is responsible for managing personnel, oversee scheduling, oversee player development, and academic progress of student-athletes.
• Responsible for facilitating the academic and athletic development of every student-athlete.
• Coordinate the recruitment of prospective student-athletes within the guidelines of the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.
• Coordinate, track, and be financially responsible for the program budget.
• Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes.
• Assist with workout scheduling.
• Coordinate competition schedules following Big 12 and NCAA guidelines.
• Coordinate recruiting activities including: Travel to competitions and conduct home visits with prospective student-athletes; Monitor prospective recruits and incoming correspondence.
• Coordinate team responsibilities with regards to all support groups within athletic department.
