Job Overview
The Assistant Track & Field Coach will be responsible to assist the Director of Track & Field in managing the Track Team in all aspects of the program. These positions are utilized on a seasonal basis each year to ensure the successful operation of the track team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
  • Mentoring and spiritually motivating our players.
  • Establishes practice plans.
  • Runs practices.
  • Maintaining a commitment to NCAA, Conference, and University rule compliance.
  • Reporting any NCAA, Conference, and University rule violations to the Compliance Coordinator.
  • Understanding that violations of NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • Be at practice one or two days most weeks from Oct. 15-Dec. 6 & Jan. 13- May 2
  • Other duties assigned by the Head Coach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA Degree required, Masters preferred.
  • Personal Faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Previous coaching experience preferred at college level.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents and others.
  • Knowledge of NCAA DI or DII either as athlete or coach preferred.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and work ethic.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Have access to/use of a personal vehicle.
  • Loyalty to school, team, and head coach.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified.
