ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working closely with the Middle School head coach, the Middle School boys/girls swimming assistant coach is responsible for supporting various aspects of the boys/girls swimming program. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Pace Academy and the Georgia High School Association (GHSA).
• Daily team coaching alongside the coaching staff.
•  Representing Pace Academy and the boys /girls swimming program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possesses and maintains a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of Pace Academy.
• Coaching experience and a solid understanding of how to work with student-athletes in grades six through eight.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to the student-athlete concept.
• Effective leadership and coaching skills.
• Employs good communication skills with players, parents/caregivers and the Office of Athletics.
• Is energetic, self-motivated, flexible, punctual, dependable and a team player.
