Job Overview

Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Assistant Softball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in meeting the goals of guiding and building an elite-level NCAA Division II program. This requires the promotion of academic achievement and character of the student-athlete, fans, and the overall College community. Essential Functions:

• Assist the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations which includes game preparation, organization and implementation of effective practice schedules, off-season programs and in-game coaching.
• Evaluation and recruitment of elite prospective student-athletes.
• Training and development of all student-athletes.
• Monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress and growth as a person.
• Ability to participate and lead in practice and drills.
• Individual workouts, conditioning, and strength training with players.
• Direction, instruction and assistance with summer camps.
• Game day meal planning and organization.
• Travel coordination for away competitions.
• Investment in the lives and growth of student-athletes.
