Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, Ga., with an enrollment of 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working closely with the varsity softball head coach, the assistant coach is responsible for supporting various aspects of the softball program. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Pace Academy and Georgia High School Association (GHSA).
• Daily team coaching alongside the coaching staff.
• Driving players to/from practices, as needed
• Representing Pace Academy and the softball program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possesses and maintains a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of Pace Academy.
• Coaching experience and a solid understanding of how to work with student-athletes in grades nine through 12.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to the student-athlete concept.
• Effective leadership and coaching skills.
• Employs good communication skills with players, parents/caregivers and the Office of Athletics.
• Is energetic, self-motivated, flexible, punctual, dependable and a team player.
