Job Overview
San Diego State University is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach to contribute to the success of our dynamic athletic program. Under the guidance of the Head Women’s Soccer Coach, the Assistant Coach will play a pivotal role in fostering player development, leading goalkeeper training, and supporting the team’s competitive and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
  • Player Development: Assist in coaching, mentoring, and training student-athletes to maximize their potential on and off the field.
  • Goalkeeper Coaching: Specialize in goalkeeper training to enhance performance and skill development.
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Identify and recruit top-tier student-athletes to strengthen the program.
  • Administrative & Organizational Support: Manage logistics, coordinate team activities, and ensure compliance with athletic department policies.
  • Fundraising & Community Engagement: Lead fundraising efforts and represent the program in public and community settings.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Support student-athletes academically, personally, and athletically, fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Qualifications:
  • Coaching Goalkeepers for a minimum of 4 years in the NCAA.
  • Four seasons experience coaching NCAA soccer.
  • Candidate has passed the current NCAA coaches certification test.
  • NSCAA Level 2 Gk license.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
