Job Overview

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for organizing and directing all aspects of the men’s and women’s golf programs. Administer all phases of an NCAA Division I golf program. Coach, teach and assist in the development of players during practices and competitions. Develop and supervise the student-athletes in the golf program, by implementing strategies to motivate maximum levels of individual and team performance. Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
  2. Develop and organize recruiting records, logs, and contact information for a sports program per NCAA regulations. Recruits student-athletes and supports future athletes through the admission process Monitors academic progress of athletes to ensure player eligibility. Demonstrates game techniques and recommends player position assignments. Participates in the pre- and post-workouts.
  3. Schedule non-conference games in competitive season. Create long term player development including technical, tactical and physical development of individual players. Organize, prepare and supervise all training practices and game day contests. Responsible for working with athletic administration to place orders for all equipment, apparel, and gear.
  4. Work with the assigned sport administrator to schedule and coordinate all travel to practices and tournament competitions. Maintain responsibility for budget control by adhering to operational budgets. Hire, supervise and assign responsibilities of the assistant coach. Undertake public relations and promotional activities appropriate to the position to promote the golf team.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Five years of coaching experience.
