Responsibilities:

1. Administer patient centered Physical Therapy treatment incorporating evidence-based practice and skilled techniques to achieve optimal functional outcomes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
2. Observe, communicate and document patient progress and response to treatment.
3. Plan, organize and implement individualized therapeutic programs with patient/family, incorporating evidence-based practice.
4. Provide education on Physical Therapy related subjects to patients, clients, caregivers, hospital personnel and the community.
5. Act as a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students.
6. Act as a resource for volunteers and observers.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree or certificate.
2. Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
3. State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
