Duties:

1. Assist in the planning, organization, and conduct of practice sessions.
2. Maintain regular communication with Athletic Director.
3. Attend clinics/workshops related to sport.
4. Plan and direct training programs that enable athletes to reach top performance.
5. Instruct athletes on proper techniques, strategies, sportsmanship, and the rules of the sport.
6. Show support for other coaches with staff and the public.
7. Demonstrate positive team sportsmanship towards opponents and officials.
8. Effectively manage pre-contest and season details.
9. Complete inventory of equipment and uniforms at end of season.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Successful experience and ability to work well with students, parents, and staff members.
3. Knowledgeable in the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport.
4. Valid coaching experiences or experience as a participant in the applied position(s).
5. High moral character, integrity, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
6. Ability to obtain current CPR/First Aid Certification.
7. Demonstrated effective public relations skills.
8. Possess good organizational skills.
9. Non-smoker at work site.
10. Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
