Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Assists with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing players in rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
- Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
- Assisting with coordinating all levels of the program and summer/off season programs
- Implementing of expectations and direction of the program
- Preparation of team for competition
- Communication with parents, players, school staff, media, etc.
- Following school and CHSAA regulations and policies
- Represents the school and school district at all times during interscholastic practices, meetings, and activities.
- Conducts their work within the framework of the goals of the school system, the Board of Education policies and procedures of the department of athletics within the designated school and sport/club they have been hired.
- Expected to follow all rules, protocols and procedures as outlined in the handbooks, school district policies and regulations, rules and expectations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous track coaching experience and/or knowledge of the fundamental and advanced skills of track.
- CPR/First Aid Certified.
- Knowledgeable of CHSAA regulations or willingness to become knowledgeable.
- Be willing to be part of a team environment.
