Job Overview
This position will serve as a senior member of the athletics administrative team responsible for departmental strategic planning, supervision, and management of the safety and well-being of students, coaches, and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, audit, and review compliance forms, policies, and procedures.
- Interpret and provide education to students, coaches, athletic staff, and representatives of athletic interests on NCAA rules, policies, and regulations.
- Coordinate and conduct educational sessions with pertinent parties as needed.
- Provide rule interpretations to coaches and staff as needed.
- Monitor new NCAA legislation.
- Manage the athletics department's compliance and monitor compliance issues, including educating staff on NCAA rules and regulations, administering secondary rules violations, and investigating institutional rules violations. Report information required by the NCAA and the Gulf South Conference.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specific to this position.
- Excellent communication and computer skills required.
- Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
