Job Overview
The Assistant Director, Annual Giving – Athletics plays a vital role in advancing the philanthropic efforts of UCF Athletics by growing mid-level giving, increasing donor participation, and strengthening engagement. This position is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding leadership-level annual gifts, with a focus on expanding the donor pipeline and fostering meaningful relationships with alumni and supporters.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and retain a portfolio of at least 100 leadership annual giving donors and prospects.
- Conduct face-to-face visits to build relationships and increase philanthropic support for UCF Athletics.
- Identify over 500 new prospects annually through strategic discovery efforts.
- Develop and execute tailored stewardship strategies to enhance donor loyalty and affinity.
- Oversee discovery, cultivation, and stewardship events to foster engagement and deepen donor connections.
- Lead events and initiatives that support pipeline development for leadership-level annual giving.
- Provide direct support for Knights Hospitality during premium game-day operations for football, basketball, and baseball.
Qualifications:
- Nonprofit or fundraising experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Experience in leadership annual giving or mid-level giving programs.
- Familiarity with fundraising databases and donor management software.
- Proven success in identifying, cultivating, and securing gifts.
- Event planning and strategic donor engagement experience.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong ability to build personal relationships with donors and prospects.
