Job Overview

The Assistant Director, Annual Giving – Athletics plays a vital role in advancing the philanthropic efforts of UCF Athletics by growing mid-level giving, increasing donor participation, and strengthening engagement. This position is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding leadership-level annual gifts, with a focus on expanding the donor pipeline and fostering meaningful relationships with alumni and supporters.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and retain a portfolio of at least 100 leadership annual giving donors and prospects.
  2. Conduct face-to-face visits to build relationships and increase philanthropic support for UCF Athletics.
  3. Identify over 500 new prospects annually through strategic discovery efforts.
  4. Develop and execute tailored stewardship strategies to enhance donor loyalty and affinity.
  5. Oversee discovery, cultivation, and stewardship events to foster engagement and deepen donor connections.
  6. Lead events and initiatives that support pipeline development for leadership-level annual giving.
  7. Provide direct support for Knights Hospitality during premium game-day operations for football, basketball, and baseball.

Qualifications:

  1. Nonprofit or fundraising experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  2. Experience in leadership annual giving or mid-level giving programs.
  3. Familiarity with fundraising databases and donor management software.
  4. Proven success in identifying, cultivating, and securing gifts.
  5. Event planning and strategic donor engagement experience.
  6. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Strong ability to build personal relationships with donors and prospects.
