Carlow University Athletics is seeking a highly motivated individual for the job of Head Baseball Coach, Intramurals, and Facilities. They will report directly to the Director of Athletics and will be responsible for the management of all aspects of an NCAA III Athletic program. Successful recruitment of new student athletes, Event Facilities management/game day, creation and supervision of campus intermural program, and other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. This person must possess a working knowledge of NCAA rules, a commitment to high academic standards, and the NCAA Division III philosophy. A successful candidate will have a reputation for integrity. Carlow University is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). This position will assist with special projects and event management as needed.
2. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Preferred a minimum 5 years Head or Assistant Coaching experience at the collegiate level or higher.
4. Must have a vailed drivers license.

DUTIES:

1. Duties include, but will not be limited to game coaching, recruitment of student athletes, scheduling, practice sessions, team travel, supporting student-athletes and the supervision of assistant coaches. Ability to physically demonstrate complex movements and skills required.
2. Candidate must have demonstrated success in a Baseball program at the college or an equivalently high level, including evidence of successful student retention and team success. Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate and develop Division III student-athletes, knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the sport is necessary.
3. Creates and implements Intramural Sports Program annual activity schedule, trains sports officials for basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, etc.
4. Assists in the development, implementation, and management of the Intramural Sports and Club Sport budget, assists in the promotion and supervision of current and future programs.
5. Recommends policies and procedures for Intramural and Club Sports and handle disciplinary actions involving the Intramural and Club Sports program
6. Oversee the daily operations of St. Joe’s gymnasium, batting cage, golf sim room, and eSports facility.
7. Work with off-site locations and secure facilities for practice and events for soccer, softball, baseball, Men’s and Women’s basketball, golf, tennis, and T&F.
