Job Overview
The Head Baseball Coach will be responsible for the administration and management of the Men's Baseball program and team in compliance with all the established guidelines, rules and regulations of the NCAA, SWAC, TAMUS, PVAMU, and the Department of Athletics.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for all areas of the daily operations, administration and management of the men's baseball program and team, including scheduled practices, weight training and conditioning workouts. Will also be responsible for managing the sport's expense budget, making the teams travel arrangements and securing lodging accommodations for away competitions.
- Work with compliance and academic advising to monitor the progress of baseball teams athletes in the classroom. Will scout and recruit prospective student-athletes, from high schools and junior colleges, that will fit with the program both academically and athletically. The head coach will also coordinate all phases of recruiting.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops, as well as conventions to remain current in areas relating to collegiate baseball. Will attend NCAA rules and regulations training to remain current and aware of any changes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree.
- Five years of coaching experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
