Job Overview

Wilson College is seeking an energetic and motivated part-time Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead and elevate the athletic performance of our 13 NCAA Division III intercollegiate teams. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a comprehensive strength and conditioning program that supports student-athlete development, performance, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Designing and implementing progressive, sport-specific strength and conditioning programs in collaboration with head coaches.
  2. Ensuring safe physical training techniques that promote performance enhancement and injury prevention.
  3. Partnering with the athletic training staff to support injury rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols.
  4. Offering guidance to student-athletes on nutrition, sleep, and mental wellness, within the scope of relevant certifications.
  5. Ensuring compliance with all College, United East Conference, IHSA, and NCAA Division III rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in exercise science, physiology, physical education, or related field.
  2. Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or other nationally accredited equivalent required.
  3. Minimum of three years’ experience in collegiate-level strength and conditioning or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  4. Commitment to student development, collaboration, and safety in athletic performance.
