The Assistant Elementary Soccer Coach will support the Head Coach in organizing, leading, and promoting a safe, positive, and engaging soccer program for elementary students. The Assistant Coach will help foster teamwork, skill development, sportsmanship, and a love of the game among young athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in planning and conducting practices, games, and team activities under the direction of the Head Coach.
2. Teach basic soccer skills, strategies, and rules in an age-appropriate and encouraging manner.
3. Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and games.
4. Promote safety by ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to training guidelines.
5. Encourage teamwork, effort, and good sportsmanship.
6. Help manage team logistics (e.g., attendance, equipment, game-day prep).
7. Communicate effectively and professionally with athletes, families, and school staff.
8. Serve as a positive role model and mentor for elementary students.
9. Attend required meetings, training sessions, and school events related to the soccer program.

Qualifications:

1. Experience working with children in an instructional, coaching, or supervisory capacity preferred.
2. Basic knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and safety practices.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and school personnel.
5. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
6. Must pass background check and meet all district coaching requirements.
