Job Overview
Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of running an NCAA Division III Track & Field program by teaching and coaching student athletes, recruiting highly selective high school athletes, developing and implementing competition strategies, and leading practices. A preferred emphasis on a background working with the jumping events.
Responsibilities:
- Writing and implementation of track abd field workouts. Preferred background in the jumping events.
- Foster a positive and competitive environment.
- Recruiting of qualified student athletes.
- Comply with institutional, University Athletic Association, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Assist in the management of home meets.
- Assist with cross-country as needed.
- Has a moderate/high level of authority to participate in staff meetings, individual planning meetings, and parent-student staffing.
- Helps staff to plan and execute events.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of significant and relevant playing or teaching/coaching experience in track and field at the professional, collegiate, or high school level.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proficient in computer skills; Microsoft Office and other software.
