Qualifications:

1. Excellent communication skills with parents and students required.
2. Volleyball and/or coaching experience preferred.
3. First aid and CPR knowledge preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Develop and communicate clear and specific goals for the team and individual players.
2. Develop the skills of players specific to volleyball.
3. Establish a team that demonstrates good sportsmanship.
4. Maintain open and honest communication with students, parents, other coaches, and Athletic Coordinator.
5. Create an environment in which athletes can gain self-esteem and develop a positive self-image.
6. Demonstrate understanding of leadership best practices specific to the sport and age group.
7. Support student academic expectations, responsibilities, and achievements.
8. Develop the knowledge and understanding of Forest Hills Public Schools policies and procedures as it applies to athletics.
9. Promote and enforce the student-athlete code of conduct.
10. Connect athletic experiences with life experiences.
11. Provide an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration among coaches and players.
12. Model good sportsmanship always.
13. Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment for student athletes.
