Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for the part-time position of Head Women’s Golf Coach. This position is not eligible for benefits. BW has a rich athletic tradition and has some exciting facility upgrades coming soon. BW is a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III. The athletic department supports the College mission by assisting students in their preparation toward becoming contributing, compassionate citizens in an increasingly global society. The position reports directly to the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruiting and retaining student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, OAC and institutional rules, regulations and guidelines.
2. Organizing, preparing and executing effective practice and game strategies.
3. Oversight of our women’s golf team.
4. Monitoring and nurturing student-athletes’ academic and personal progress.
5. Managing successfully the daily operations of a varsity program: budgeting, scheduling, equipment, travel arrangements, and game day organization.
6. Assisting with fundraising, alumni activities and public relations as needed.
7. Supervising part time assistant coaches and other support staff.
8. Represent the University and program at local, OAC and national meetings and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
9. Fostering a cooperative work environment and providing mutual support with all constituencies and colleagues.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
2. Golf coaching experience preferred, college coaching experience preferred.
3. Demonstrated successful recruiting experience.
4. Proficient with technology applications applicable to the position.
5. Demonstrated organizational and management ability.
6. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
7. Knowledge of NCAA and OAC rules and regulations.
8. Appreciation for and understanding of NCAA D-III athletic philosophy.
9. Strong ethical character.
10. Must maintain CPR/AED certification.
