The Assistant Golf Coach supports the Head Golf Coach in the development, supervision, and leadership of the school’s golf program. This position assists with coaching student-athletes, organizing practices, managing team logistics, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. The assistant coach promotes skill development, sportsmanship, and academic accountability while representing the values and standards of Greenwood Laboratory School.

Primary Duties:

1. Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and team meetings.
2. Provide individual and group instruction to support skill development and competitive performance.
3. Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and travel.
4. Promote teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship among all participants.
5. Assist with scheduling, transportation, equipment management, and communication with families.
6. Support the enforcement of team rules, school policies, and academic eligibility requirements.
7. Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
8. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parents.
9. Attend all scheduled matches, tournaments, and team events.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or school administration.
