– Time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will work alongside the Head Women’s Basketball Coach to oversee the day-to-day operations of the women’s basketball team at Santa Fe College’s Northwest Campus. This is a Technical/Professional role compensated through a supplement as outlined in the Santa Fe College Salary Schedule.

## What You’ll Do

You’ll assist the head coach with sport-specific instruction, team conditioning, and game strategy throughout the playing season. Your responsibilities include managing facility upkeep, organizing equipment, recruiting prospects, and traveling with the team to away games. You’ll demonstrate strong basketball fundamentals and the ability to teach passing, dribbling, shooting, offensive strategy, and defensive strategy to student-athletes. Beyond the court, you’ll provide excellent service through courteous, informed, and professional engagement with the team, coaching staff, and college community. You’ll report directly to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and handle other duties as assigned.

## What We’re Looking For

You’ll need either an Associate’s degree OR a combination of two years of directly related experience that includes coaching or playing basketball at the college or professional level, plus two additional years of coaching experience at the high school, college, club, or equivalent level. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

You should demonstrate the ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment and communicate effectively in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner. We value your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with others, provide high-level interactive service, and work as a collaborative team player across all organizational levels.
