Head Women’s Basketball Coach – University at Albany

The University at Albany is seeking highly qualified applicants for a Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The Head Coach will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the program including recruiting, official and unofficial visits, practice planning, game preparation and scouting, scheduling of contests in conjunction with the sport administrator, student-athlete welfare, academic compliance and monitoring, NCAA, Conference and University rules compliance, fundraising, and community service.

Position Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of coaching experience at the high school level or above, college and professional coaching experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, administrative, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• The ability to work with people in a multi-ethnic environment is required.
• The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those other cultures or backgrounds is required.
• The scope of this position requires weekend, evening, and possible holiday hours.
