Head Coach, Men’s Soccer

Carthage College seeks a dynamic and experienced individual to lead
our NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer program. The Head Coach will be
responsible for all aspects of the program, including planning,
organizing, recruiting, developing, and coaching the team. This
full time position aims to foster an environment of excellence both
in and out of the classroom, emphasizing the holistic development
of student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic vision and direction for the Men’s Soccer
program in alignment with the mission of Carthage College and the
athletic department.
Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of team practices, game
preparation and competitive strategy.
Teach technical and tactical soccer skills while emphasizing
leadership, accountability, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, teamwork, and
sportsmanship.
Evaluate student-athlete performance and implement
individualized development plans to support athletic and personal
growth.
Identify, evaluate, and attract talented student-athletes who
align with the academic and athletic standards of the college.
Build and maintain strong relationships with high school and
club coaches to identify prospective student-athletes.
Ensure full compliance with NCAA Division III, conference and
institutional rules and regulations.
Manage program budgets, coordinate team travel, and ensure
compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.
Schedule games, practices, and team events in collaboration
with the athletic department.
Maintain oversight and care for team equipment and
facilities.
Support fundraising activities and alumni engagement
initiatives to support the program.
Hire, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches, graduate
assistants and other support staff.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic
Director.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of coaching experience at the collegiate
level, preferably in NCAA Division III. Will consider five or more
years of coaching experience at the high school or club level.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and
interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of
student-athletes and the ability to work within the framework of an
NCAA Division III program.
