Smithfield, Rhode Island, The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for a 2-year Graduate Assistant position in Athletics Business/Operations. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East Conference as well as an associate member of the Coastal Athletic Association, Big South, and East Coast Conferences. This position reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Business/Operations (or designated senior administrator).

The Graduate Assistant for Business/Operations will provide administrative and operational support to the athletics department, assisting with financial management, day?to?day operations, and special projects that support the overall mission of the department.

Salary Range:
GA compensation includes a full tuition waiver, housing, and a $1,500.00 stipend in Spring and Fall semesters starting August 1. Graduate School is a 2-year part?time program beginning August 2026 through August 2028.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with budget preparation and monitoring for sport programs and administrative units; processing purchase requisitions, invoices, reimbursements, and travel expenses; assisting with reconciliations and financial reporting; supporting team travel logistics (transportation, lodging, meal arrangements); monitoring equipment and apparel inventory; assisting with contract and agreement tracking; supporting event operations and game?day management; maintaining records and files; assisting with administrative work (e.g., data entry, filing, preparing reports, writing meeting minutes); and other duties as assigned.

This position requires occasional availability on nights and weekends. Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and acceptance into the Bryant University Graduate School (acceptance must be confirmed before candidate will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in athletics administration, business operations, finance, or event management; knowledge of  NCAA  rules and institutional policies related to financial operations; strong analytical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office software; familiarity with financial or travel management systems; exposure to intercollegiate athletics; strong interpersonal skills; excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
