Offensive Assistant Coach (Stipend Position)

Location: Grand Canyon University – Phoenix, AZ
Position Type: Part-Time / Stipend ($10,000+ annually)
Schedule: Morning commitment (approx. 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM), plus recruiting and travel

Position Overview:
The Grand Canyon University Men’s Lacrosse program is seeking an Offensive Assistant Coach to support the development and execution of the offensive unit. This role operates within the program’s established systems while collaborating closely with the Head Coach on implementation, adjustments, and player development.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Coach and develop the offensive unit (skills, concepts, and system execution)
-Teach and implement offensive schemes in alignment with program philosophy
-Collaborate with the Head Coach on game planning, adjustments, and weekly focus areas
-Plan and run detailed, purposeful drills that reinforce team systems
-Assist in opponent scouting and film breakdown using ScoreBreak
-Recruit prospective student-athletes and attend recruiting events
-Assist with team travel logistics
-Set up practice field/equipment and support daily operations
-Supervise weight room sessions as needed

Additional Game Day Responsibility (assigned):

Operate the substitution box or
Assist with faceoff unit

Compensation:

$10,000 annual stipend
Additional income through camps, clinics, and events

Qualifications:

-Collegiate playing or coaching experience preferred
-Strong understanding of offensive lacrosse systems and player development
-Collaborative mindset with the ability to both contribute ideas and execute a shared vision
-High level of accountability, preparation, and attention to detail
-Self-starter who takes pride in preparation, film work, and daily practice execution
-Ability to teach, correct, and reinforce habits in a structured environment
-Strong communication and organizational skills
