As Head Coach, you’ll provide dynamic leadership across all program facets, directly advancing Lehigh University’s mission and Athletic Department goals. You’ll mentor and develop student-athletes both on and off the field, while leading a dedicated coaching staff toward agreed-upon performance objectives.

Your responsibilities encompass comprehensive program management including recruitment, academic support coordination, and strategic program advancement—all conducted within NCAA, Patriot League, and university guidelines.

This position is a Grade: 14 – 40 with an approximate salary range of $174,490-$212,300 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.
*Key AccountabilitiesProgram Leadership & Vision – Provide comprehensive leadership and strategic direction across all program facets to advance Lehigh University’s mission and Athletic Department objectivesStudent-Athlete Development – Teach, tutor, instruct, and mentor student-athletes in football fundamentals, life skills, and character development both on and off the fieldCoaching Staff Management – Lead, develop, and coordinate coaching staff members through effective instruction, mentoring, and collaborative team buildingStrategic Recruitment – Execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract top-tier student-athletes who excel academically and athletically within NCAA and Patriot League guidelinesAcademic Support Coordination – Collaborate with academic services to ensure student-athlete success in the classroom while maintaining eligibility standardsProgram Administration – Oversee budget management, scheduling, compliance reporting, and operational logistics while achieving agreed-upon performance metricsExternal Relations & Advancement – Build relationships with alumni, donors, media, and community stakeholders to enhance program visibility and fundraising initiativesCompliance & Governance – Ensure all activities strictly adhere to NCAA, Patriot League, and university policies while maintaining the highest ethical standards*QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a related field; Master’s Degree preferredFive to eight years of related work experienceNCAA CertificationCPR/First Aid CertificationExperience as a student-athlete
