Hours: 15 to 31 hours/week

Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our team on a part-time schedule (~20 hours/week). This role is designed for a coach who is early in their career but has a solid foundation in exercise science and coaching. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in both gym and field environments, working with athletes of all levels while being mentored by experienced performance coaches.

Responsibilities
Coach athletes ages 11+ in strength, speed, and power development within our gym.
Lead and assist with small group sessions, ensuring professionalism, energy, and clear communication.
Provide feedback and track athlete progress under the guidance of senior staff.
Travel to off-site training locations (schools, fields, community centers) as needed.
Support the coaching team in delivering consistent programming and athlete care.
Uphold a safe, motivating, and professional training environment.
Engage with athletes, parents, and coaches to strengthen community relationships.

Requirements
Certification Prefered: NSCA-CSCS, or equivalent recognized credential.
Prior coaching experience (youth, high school, or collegiate athletes preferred, but not required for the right candidate).
Strong communication skills with both athletes and parents.
Ability to adapt coaching to different environments (gym & field).
Reliable transportation and flexibility for off-site coaching sessions.
Availability for weekday afternoons/evenings and some weekends (late morning into early afternoon).
Strength levels adequate to keep clients safe during spotting.

Preferred Skills
Experience working with multi-sport youth athletes.
Ability to safely lift and spot heavy weights, both for demonstration and to ensure athlete safety.
CPR/AED certification.
