Our client, a prominent NCAA Division I university located in **San Antonio, Texas, US**, is seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic Head Coach for their Men’s Basketball program. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a deep commitment to athletic excellence, student-athlete development, and program integrity.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the Men’s Basketball program, including recruitment, player development, team strategy, and game preparation. Develop and implement a competitive game plan and practice schedule that aligns with the university’s athletic mission. Recruit and retain high-caliber student-athletes who meet both academic and athletic standards. Manage and mentor assistant coaches, ensuring a cohesive and effective coaching staff. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, academic success, and personal growth. Ensure strict adherence to all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations. Manage the basketball program’s budget effectively, including equipment, travel, and recruiting expenses. Build strong relationships with alumni, boosters, university administration, and the local community to support the program. Represent the university and the athletic department positively at public events and media engagements. Continuously evaluate and improve coaching techniques, strategies, and player development methodologies.
Qualifications:
Extensive coaching experience at the collegiate level (NCAA Division I preferred), with a proven record of success. Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop elite student-athletes. Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Experience managing budgets and staff. Commitment to academic integrity and the holistic development of student-athletes. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively during the season.
