Job Description
Primary Duties
35% Preparing student-athletes for workouts, practices and
competitions.
35% Providing evaluations of, treatment for, and
rehabilitation of, athletic injuries for collegiate
student-athletes.
15% Athletics Training administrative duties including but
not limited to; maintaining complete medical records filing system
for students to utilize in educational process, providing
sufficient opportunity for appropriate student review and
utilization of commonly used administrative records and forms (i.e.
accident reports, treatment records, insurance forms, etc.) in
accordance with HIPAA regulations.
10% Acting as liaison between student athletes, coaches,
administration, parents, medical personnel and other support staff
in matters of health and welfare of student-athletes.
Ancillary Duties
5% Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports
Medicine and/or Vice President for Athletics and Strategic
Partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field
Certification by the NATA Board of Certification
Professional CPR/AED and First Aid Certified
Willing to work nights and weekends
Physical ability to fulfill duties of the position, including
the provision of physical rehabilitation services
At least one year of experience as athletic trainer (includes
graduate assistant role)
Experience in a position or activity that required skills in
cooperation, organization, communication and problem solving
Experience working in varying environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution
Demonstrated commitment and ability to motivate, teach and
counsel student-athletes
Experience as a certified athletic trainer
Experience working with a variety of populations
Experience in a position or activity that required
confidentiality and discretion

Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000
