Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Develop and implement individualized adaptive physical education programs for students with disabilities based on their unique needs, abilities, and goals.
- Instruction: Provide engaging and inclusive physical education instruction that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, therapists, and other professionals to support the holistic development of students with disabilities.
- Inclusion: Promote inclusivity and create a supportive and welcoming environment where all students feel valued and empowered to participate in physical activities.
- Adaptations: Modify equipment, rules, and activities as necessary to ensure accessibility and safety for students with disabilities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in physical education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification/license in Physical Education or Special Education Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational or recreational setting.
- Adapted Physical Education (Cl-623) Added Authorization.
- Knowledge of adaptive physical education principles, techniques, and strategies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and tailor lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity in physical education.
