Description
The Amateur Hockey Coordinator is responsible for building, developing, and maintaining a range of ball hockey programming. The ideal candidate will play a key role in growing relationships between schools, families, students, teachers/educators, and other key community partners in South Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate scheduling, registration, staffing, and logistics of ball hockey and fan development programs, including serving as the primary point of contact for participants.
- Act as Lead Instructor for community ball hockey programming on evenings and weekends.
- Establish and maintain relationships with schools, district personnel, community organizations and their administrators.
- Work with both current and new community partners to develop strategies to grow the sport of Ball Hockey and Floorball.
- Coordinate and run Ball Hockey/Floorball clinics for schools and community organizations.
- Assist in oversight of the Panthers Kids Fan club using different marketing strategies including game day tabling.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in the business field or recreation management.
- Preferred 1 - 3 years of program and league management experience.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in organizing and coordinating sports programs, preferably in hockey.
- Effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using software for scheduling, registration, and data management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
