Anticipated Middle School Physical Education Teacher

Cambridge Lakes Charter School has an anticipated opening for a Full-Time Elementary and/or Middle School Physical Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. CLCS is looking for a teacher who is versatile and has a working knowledge of grades K-8 Illinois Physical Education standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instructs an age/ability level appropriate Physical Education curriculum as adopted by the Board of Education for Elementary and Middle school.
• Integrates essential and advanced skills for Physical Education at the Elementary and Middle school level.
• Provides instruction in accordance with the time allotted in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
• Instructs students in state-mandated goals of Physical Education as specified.
• Works with members of the Physical Education department and plans a well-balanced Physical Education curriculum.
• Tracks and maintains school inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Professional Educators License.
• Elementary and/or Middle School Physical Education endorsement.
• Successful teaching experience desired, but not necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to be an effective member of a team.
• Commitment to data-based decision-making and continuous improvement model.
