Must possess valid American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification to instruct preschool, adult, and American Red Cross aquatic programs; or must possess valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification to teach ARC Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED/O2; or must possess valid certification or experience appropriate to the specialized program area, i.e., competitive swimming, diving, or specialized aquatic instruction. Possession of a valid American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED or American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR , Heartsaver AED or Heartsaver First Aid certification.Must satisfactorily complete a departmental skills test prior to employment.
