Description
The aquatics facility is used for recreational swimming and playing, lap swimming, and other special programs throughout the year. Under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director, this position will assist with daily duties and operations. Under administrative direction this employee will actively coach and supervise all aquatics programs within the City of Orange Beach.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assisting the Aquatics Director with daily operations of Aquatics Center.
- Develop, implement, and oversee swimming programs.
- Organize and oversee all levels of coaching the workout and coaching schedule.
- Monitor program registrations and participant records.
- Complete USA swimming team registrations as required yearly.
- Organize seasonal meet calendars.
- Write and submit all entries for all meets.
- Attends, manages, and run all swim meets as needed.
- Participate in league coaches meetings.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Driver’s License with vessel endorsement.
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Be Water safety Instructor, or the ability to obtain within one year.
- Be an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or the ability to obtain within one year.
- Be willing to work overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard hours when necessary.
- Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
