The Assistant Director oversees the YWCA Swim Team Coach, Assistant Coach, and all aquatics staff and programming in coordination with the Aquatics Director. The Assistant Aquatic Director works alongside the Aquatic Director in close communication to ensure and maintain full aquatics programming and full staff coverage of programs. The position is located in Lewiston.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Recreation Management, Physical Education, or other related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Pool Operator (will offer training for certification).
American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard with CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a lifeguard.
Experience with supervising staff and/or lifeguards.
Experience with pool chemicals or willing to be trained.
Experience in teaching swim lessons, water fitness, or other aquatics activities.
